da leao: Italian journalist Gabriele Marcotti has suggested that Chelsea would be making the wrong decision by signing Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
da cassino online: Marca recently reported that the Premier League champions are considering a £62m swoop for the Gabon international, who was initially thought to be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea are in the market for a new striker due to the likelihood that Diego Costa will be leaving Stamford Bridge before the transfer window slams shut.
Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti of Torino have been named as potential targets, and now Aubameyang has taken centre stage.
The 28-year-old has been a Dortmund player since his 2013 move from St-Etienne, and over the last four years he has honed his skills to become a prolific goalscorer.
Last season he scores 40 goals, including 31 in the Bundesliga, but European football expert Marcotti is not convinced that he would be able to thrive in Antonio Conte’s style of play.
He told ESPN:
“I don’t know if it is that his stock has dropped. I think it’s just because they have slapped an enormous price tag on him. I think he could come back into the reckoning. I don’t know if he’s a great fit for Chelsea and what Conte wants out of his centre forward. I think that would be the main caveat there.”
Chelsea were dealt a blow in their hunt for a new striker when their former player Romelu Lukaku decided to join Manchester United instead.
The Belgian spent three years at Stamford Bridge before joining Everton on a permanent basis in 2014.
