Liverpool comfortably thrashed their arch-rivals Manchester United 3-0 on Sunday courtesy of a brace from Luis Diaz and a goal from Mohamed Salah. Diaz handed the Reds a two-goal lead in the first half while Salah increased their tally shortly after the second half commenced. Szoboszlai had a golden chance to score the fourth goal when he was presented with an open goal – however, he decided to take a couple of touches which allowed the United defenders to close in on him inside the penalty area, resulting in a wasted opportunity.

On Sky Sports commentary, the 46-year-old said: "What is he doing? Is he trying to be cocky? If United get one back the crowd gets up, we saw yesterday what happened to Everton. That’s ridiculous that from Szoboszlai. That’s just ridiculous, it’s unprofessional."
