da lvbet: Predrag Mijatovic, a former Real Madrid player, talked to Marca just recently and discussed the club of his youth. Apparently, he is not really optimistic about their aspirations and form this season but hopes they can improve with time.
What did he say?
Mijatovic was a part of Los Blancos’ family from 1996 until 1999 when he moved from the Spanish capital to Fiorentina.
But still, for the three years he was donning the royal white, he was quite a decent goalscorer.
After all, he managed to bag a total of 36 goals and assist further 11 under his belt in the 118 games he played for the team. Of course, despite the fact that he’s now long retired and professional football is behind him, he is still very much a Real Madrid supporter.

But even as such, he is still not too optimistic about the Whites’ current run of form and he expressed his concerns and hopes to Marca.
Here’s what he said in full:
“Apparently so far, and I hope I am wrong, Real Madrid does not convince me to think that they can win titles. We are in October and there is a lot [to be played], but Madrid is a team that has to improve a lot in many aspects. They also know it, listening to the statements of both the coach and the players. They are not playing as they would like, but they can improve, of course.”
A crisis brewing?
Interestingly enough, Mijatovic actually hits the nail squarely on the head with his statement.
Real Madrid are struggling and despite being second in La Liga and in the Champions League respectively, their performances are far from convincing.

A couple of days ago they tallied a narrow 1-0 victory over Galatasaray, which was actually their first in Europe in the ongoing campaign and even though they were top of La Liga for a while, they have now allowed Barcelona to leapfrog them after their loss to Mallorca.
By all accounts, Zidane is still walking on thin ice at the Spanish capital and the situation is far from perfect.
As Mijatovic has already concluded, they are lacking in many aspects and will have to improve if they want to compete at any fronts this season.
The campaign, however, is quite long and Real Madrid do have a knack of suddenly rising from the dead if the situation demands it.
And seeing their current run of form, they might as well need to.
